7:13 PM meeting called to order.
New Exec's 1st meeting.
Absent: Jenni Wong
Over the summer:
-organize Big Sib/Little Sib BBQ; try for 1 event a month
-Rich: get e-mails of incoming freshmen
-look up speakers/performers and contact them
-ideas for working with other SOC groups and other campus groups
-faculty meet & greet before add/drop period ends
-pull in freshmen (not just with food)
Rules for meetings:
-each member of exec board should plan an event
-cell phones as way of communicating
-let people know if you have problems or constructive criticism
New things?
-brown bag lunch once a month
-have a professor come in and talk, doesn't always have to deal with Asian themes
