Jason has APAVC contact list; invite alumnae to events/throw alumnae event?

Current budget is low. Fundraise! Ice cream sale, dumplings. T-shirt sale isn't a good fundraiser.

Wednesday 7PM is a good time for GB meetings.

1st meeting: give out leftover candy from activities fair.

Asian Quilt wants to promote at a meeting --> 2nd or 3rd.

Send out ASC apps through e-mail that talks about 3rd meeting. 1 week for responses. Hope to set up before October Break, have 1st meeting before October break. Interview w/ 1-2 people.

Mid-Autumn/Moon Festival
-Jason go to city, 2 boxes w/ yolk, 2 boxes w/o yolk

-fire dept?
-serve refreshments

Ideas:
-have ASC plan 1 GB meeting every semester
-have big events in the fall (field day for sibs; EMC Monkeys)
-Asian sexuality; Asian men being less desirable, Asian women being fetishized
-bring an econ/polisci professor to Speak (about China?)
-do people feel threatened by groups of minoriies? are they being exclusive? (SECOND MEETING TOPIC!)

-politician: talk about Asian Americans in politics - get for lecture/event
-Steve Byrne (comedian)
-NWC (joint project with another SOC group?)
-Christina Jung (concert)
-Magnetic North
-compile list of Asian Internships and make available to GB (Reese)
-Better Luck Tomorrow/The Debut screening (have exec screening/discussion beforehand to prepare for GB screening/discussion)
-keep Big Sib Lil Sib program running! field day? lock-in sleepover?
-JYA experiences to Asia/Summer Program presentations
-history of ASA
-faculty meet & greet; do later, not now; do before pre-reg for next semester
-what should Asians should be referred to? Asian, Asian-American, banana, etc; identity discussion
