Meet on Thursday before BBQ. Meeting at 6, retreat.
Review of first meeting:
went well, unorganized, chaotic, probably won't do it again. game was a good idea but we needed to explain it better and have clearer rules. attendance was good, we didn't even have food. glad people stuck around after the game was over.
Second meeting:
list of questions to get people to talk:
- have you ever sat in a group of all asians?
- if yes, how does it make you feel?
- if you're half asian, how does it make you feel?
- do you ever notice?
- do you make a conscious decision about who you sit with?
- do you notice token non-asian people sitting with you?
Third meeting (Sept 19th): ASIANS IN THE MEDIA.
Fourth meeting (Sept 26th): mooncakes, Quadrangle, e-mail religious/spiritual life
October 3rd meeting: dumplings
October 10th meeting: study break.
