We need to change meeting times. After GB meetings on Monday (8-9).
Everything is set with Danger & Beauty. Taiyo sent the contract.
Kenji Oshino: Friday, May 2nd. Greta says that all campus lectures happen mid or early week. Greta will try to reserve the Villard room for Wednesday April 30th from 4-8. Have a big dinner/reception for him afterwards. Have reception in Kenyon Club room (maybe too small)? Or Aula. Order food in. We would invite faculty, administrators, other SOC groups.
Get Jeff Chang money or bring him to Vassar.
ST Night: everything resubmitted. International Noyes Conspiracy (a dance) is that night. We can make some sushi (inari, California roll, cream cheese and lox, chicken sushi), buy some sushi. Liv find out how much sushi costs from Tokyo Express.
This Sunday at 4—Exec meeting in ALANA Center
Three different groups want to collaborate; we’ve said yes to two of them. First is for building a Cambodian Primary school. The girls are asking a lot of people to sponsor them to help raise money. Next time we make dumplings, we’ll say we’re fundraising for them. Second is a person from Democracy Matters—they want to talk about where money in politics is going. Where does the money come from? Who does it go to? They want to fund a lecture and have a dinner.
Belen’s group: we’ll advertise for their play this semester.
Next GB meeting: Story time and curry! Make curry and tell stories about racism, hate crimes, personal experiences relating to race. Tell people to bring your own bowls if you can.
Shimoda meeting: have Mark draft e-mail before Friday.
