7:59 PM meeting called to order.
Belen’s theater group is putting on a performance. Wants to use collaboration fund with ASA (3 orgs at least) to fund play. Play is about Japanese war brides who lived in Kansas. VSA would cover most cost. Play is called “Tea.” Play is May 1st (Founder’s Day weekend). Shiva Theater.
Friday’s Sushi & Tea event: Good set up—if a few people came, it wouldn’t have looked empty, but it was still open to a crowd. Some people said it was weird because it wasn’t conducive to dancing, especially with Christina Chung. Worked better for Magnetic North when we pushed the seats back.
Thursday event:
• Reese get one poster to put in the DC, Jenni get the other to put in the college center.
• School doesn’t have spotlights—drama department does—but maybe they won’t let us use them on such short notice. We can also rent them for about $75. We should probably serve the rest of the tea.
• 5:30 bring band system over to UpC. Have to talk to campus activities first to get the key and sign the stuff out and do inventory of materials.
• Need to make sure we have an event staff coordinator.
• Fliers

We should be in UpC no later than 6:00. Event starts at 8:00. Take them out to dinner afterwards. If you want to reserve something from Media Resources, you also have to reserve the same thing through the SARC office so they can give you an Event Staff Coordinator.
Richard ordered Boba stuff.
Tabling for ALANA Fest, this Saturday. We’re going to sell our old shirts and sell ice cream.

Jenni buy more nori from the city. We also need rice so we can finish off salmon and cream cheese sushi. We need more dumpling skins—another dumpling sale?
T-shirts: American Apparel Wholesale or trendyblanks.com. Check prices.
Hua Hsu wants to come and talk but he doesn’t know what he wants to talk about. Right now, Hua Hsu, Prof. Moon and Linta Varghese are pushing for Asian American Studies correlate. We should write something to the Misc.
Bring Fubing Su and Hua Hsu to come talk about the Tibet issue for next meeting. Richard contact.
Ask for acceptances/declines of nominations by the 21st. Ask for blurbs by Friday before elections.
Talked to Angie. May 4th—she said we can have ASA+BSU catered BBQ. Do football game with BSU. We want to just grill food ourselves instead of cater. It’s more fun that way! Use Korean BBQ sauce?
8:55 PM meeting adjourned.
